We all may have used bluetooth to transfer data between two devices. Well they are used to transfer data over short distances using a short wave length by creating a temporary network between the two devices. Conventional bluetooth devices can transfer data at maximum speeds of 1.2Mb/sec however the latest version of bluetooth 3.0 can be used to transfer data at a whooping speed of 24Mbps. (WOW!!!) . Upcoming models of mobile phones and DVD players are expected to be equipped with this device to enable data transfer at unbelievable speeds. The major advantage of these devices is that they use considerably less energy compared to their previous versions (100mW) and are considered a less harmful than mobile phone rays.
